LEGO NES - 100% brick build without a real console inside!!!

I'm again in LEGO mood (I finally found the super rare "Winther Toy Shop" Christmas Set here in Tokyo!!) and I'm happy that I'm not the only one. Dave Sterling just created this brick built replica of the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). He even made a fake TV set!!

LEGO SYNTHs - BEEM The Future

PERFECT MASHUP: LEGO, robots, coding, Wii and Playstation
This is the video of the tingeypa's submission for the Microsoft Dare To Dream contest. The contest required entrants to build an embedded application using the new Micro .Net framework which allows C# programming on a resource constrained platform. The entry needed to use a prototyping board with touch screen provided Microsoft. My entry was a touchscreen driven programming & execution environment called Brickstick that allows Lego IO to be connected to the prototyping board and programed and run controlled without the use of a PC. All programming and execution is done through the touch screen. This makes it easy to build remote controlled robot with sophisticated features, without the complexity of a complex programming environment. My entry used a number of complex I/O types utilising the I2C bus such as the NXTCam, NXTServo and PFMate, all designed and built by Mindsensors.
REAL LEGO BOAT on JAPANESE TV
I always loved Japanese crazy TV shows: with enka anything looks cool!
LEGO: Indiana Jones diorama

At the Nuremberg Toy Fair I spotted this beautiful Lego Indiana Jones diorama (OK I know I'm not a great photographer).
GOLDEN BRICK LEGO
Today, at Nuremberg Toy Fair, I visited the Lego mega booth and found several new sets that will be released during 2008. The most interesting is this special edition box, with a Golden Brick Lego, produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the danish blocks.
GERMAN LEGO AIRPORT!

Today I landed in Germany for the Nuremberg Toy Fair and while I was waiting for the baggages I saw these great Lego sculpures placed near the be baggage belts. It was a surreal scene and for a second I tought to be inside a real sized Legoland Airport!!!

TOKYO LEGO EXHIBITION

From today till February 25 Shibuya "Parco Factory" will held the Lego World Heritage exhibition (Sagrada Familia, Shiuri Castle, Pisa pending tower and other World Heritage sites reproduced with Lego bricks)! The Sagraad Familia reproduction has been created by the Japanese artist NAOE who is the only Asian Lego professional builder (photo gallery).
Looks like a great way to celebrate Lego 50th anniversary!!
LEGO: Build a Geodesic Dome

Demi has posted a really cool guide to build a Lego Geodesic Dome.
"A geodesic dome is an almost spherical structure based on a network of great circles (geodesics) lying approximately on the surface of a sphere. The geodesics intersect to form triangular elements that have local triangular rigidity and yet also distribute the stress across the entire structure. It is the only man-made structure that becomes proportionally stronger as it increases in size."
If your are a Dome maniac too you should also check the incredible Space Dome created by Christian Treczoks. The whole structure has about 20000 pieces and is made from classic grey (you can’t build a white/dark grey combination with the new colours without gettin eyesores).

LEGO: Yamato Scale 1:40

Japanese Lego master Jun Brick is working on his next masterpiece: a reproduction of the Yamato battleship. This work will be finished in 2008 and will be a 6,5 meter long plastic brick reproduction build with 100.000 pieces.
On the left of the photo (up) there is an impressive 1/1 scale Doraemon.
