Datel (not my favourite brand after the useless Freeloader for PAL Game Cubes) announced the LITE BLUE TOOL a new tool battery that enable the service mode on both PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 models. Service mode means that you can downgrade the PSP and paly with your favourie "homebrews"... This special battery will let the user switch between service mode and normal mode, and also features a LED power gauge. On sale  on November 28th at around 25 euro. Sounds like the perfect Christmas presents for all videogame hackers...

Trucha Signer is a soft that let's you to resign Wii disc images after you change the original files. Today videogame hackers from GBAtemp community has found several interesting ways to use Trucha Signer:

.Modify the character change moves in Super Smash Brothers Brawl

. Uncensore ( = enable of gore) in  Manhunt 2

 .Change the characters look in Super Mario Strikers

"From start to almost finish, the game follows the PlayStation port. Key dialogue sequences are completely identical, such as when the group finds what Sephiroth did to the Midgar Zolm to when Cloud freaks out and hands over the Black Materia. Aeris tells the drunk old dressmaker how Cloud has always wished that just once he could dress up like a girl. Dyne and Barrett have the same conversations as in the PlayStation original. Nothing is missing or out of place".

Few weeks ago videogame hackers discovered an exploit based on Zelda. Yesterday laZmike  has released a video of the classic HELLO WORLD demo he created thanx to the Twilight Hack exploit (video tutorial here). In the next weeks he should release the source code...

(via PS3HAX)  Team ICE and SorroW have released a "overflow.tiff" exploit today which is confirmed working on PS3 firmwares up to 2.10 on BOTH PAL and NTSC consoles.

At the moment the TIFF file freezes the PS3 via "heap overflow" (not buffer overflow), but by knowing the "backend number and making the right calls" it is possible to inject a simple code."

This is mainly being released so other hacking teams can take a crack at it, and hopefully it can accomplish what all PS3 hackers have been patiently waiting for. (Team ICE could not get the full potential of this TiFF becuase they lacked the PS3 SDK)

(via TehSkeen) Yes, that's right - an exploit for the Nintendo Wii has been discovered and it allows you to run custom code. The method is pretty simple: copy over a save file for Zelda, load it and the code runs. Don't get too excited yet. They have only been able to run 4 lines of code, but this is in a days work.  Segher was the one to find the exploit and Bushing has been testing it out with the aid of the USB Gecko. The process is far from simple as once you modify a save game it requires it be to signed with 3 keys.

Yesterday, several videogame hacking forums users reported that (thanks to Hellcat's Pandora Maker kernel 3.xx) they succesfully converted the PSP Slim batteries into the Pandora Battery (the definitive PSP downgrade and unbrick solution created by the collective Noobz:  a team of coders lead by the legendary Fanjita). Seems that the PSP Slim will be even more popular in the holiday season...

Il programmatore hacked2123  ha appena svelato un metodo per far girare le copie backup su PS3  che va ad aggiungersi ai due già noti: il PS3 Linux Method e il  PS3 SAK v1.00. La nostra sensazione è che per la prima volta  ci sia veramente poco interesse per l'hacking di una console Sony (al contrario i chip per il Wii stanno riscuotendo un successo
incredibile).

Windows XP , lettore Compact Flash, porte USB, uscita VGA,  LEDs segnalatori al posto dei pulsanti A e B:  a questo GameBoy non manca proprio nulla (se non uno schermo LCD a colori)!!
