PSP: Hatsune Miku - Project Diva

Zepy has spotted (in the latest issue of Famitsu) this new Vocaloid 2 Miku chan inspired game for PSP to be released at the beginning of next year. The main game is a rhythm game with a story mode. You can win stuff in rhythm mode to decorate Hatsune Miku room and watch pur Vocaloid godness walk around and do random stuff.

VOCALOID 2: Kagamine Rin + Len

Crypton has finally revealed the official Vocaloid 2 new package and... I've been really surprised to discover that Rin got a brother called Ren!!! Actually they seems twins (as they got the same look and age). There will be two data sets of voices Rin/Len (at the same price of the original Miku box).
The game, ops, the application will be released on 24 December!
Rin: 14 years old - 152cm tall and 43kg. Len: 14 years old, 156cm tall and 47kg
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien NEW OAV

A couple of days ago Age Soft announced that Bandai Visual will release the New Kimiga Nozomu Einen OAV next 21 December. Apparently the story seems to be going the Haruka path this time.
I still remember the first time Yoshida, Age Soft president, introduced me to the, back then new, Kimi ga nozumo einen anime (Kiminozo) I tought it was somethign fresh but everyone at the company we I was working (sorry I can't say the japanese company name) said that the show was too much difference from the others to appeal to the otaku community... I think Yoshida is a great storyteller and I love his idea of realitiy mix like when he printed and released the fictional Haruka children's book and it went of top of sales ranking of the (real) Japanese children books! At the beginning many people criticized Yoshida "realistic" story telling style (his first game "Kimiga Ita kisetsu" which story takes place in Tachibanacho, the neighboring town fo Hiragicho of Kiminozo, has been a commercial flop) but his ability to mix reality with fantasy in both his stories and products is what makes all his work masterpieces!
Anyway I really look foward to watch this anime.
Geek note: The bishoujo game Kimi ga ita kisetsu has been indeed translated in English but the management of the company wanted to release other games first so at the ned it nevert saw the light of the day...
NICE BOAT: Garage kit & T-shirt!

Akiba Hobby has posted a reportage of Hobby Complex: a new japanese event dedicated to garage kit and toys. Our favourite work is this litle NICE BOAT diorama. Seems that this meme is still resonating in the Japaense otakudom and our old friend from Gunma Peter Payne (Wired interview here) has just added this NICE BOAT T-shirt to his otakuish sline of T-shirts that you can find on J-BOX.
Omamori Himari Porno Parody!

In Japan, among porno producers, there is a boom of videos inspired by succesfull anime and manga. Today Japanese mega porno factory Soft On Demand has annunced that on 22th november the new porno parody of Omamori Hirami manga (preview here) will be released. This DVD will be starred by AV idol "Yume Kimino" (ゆめ 君野 = ゆめ = "Dream" きみの = "Your") famous for the Suzumiya Harui porno parody..

VOCALOID 2: anime song generator

Few weeks ago, after I found it on sale in Akiba's Laox MusicVox shop, I posted about Vocaloid 2 on my mixi blog. According to Akiba blog and several other sources seems that this music software has been really succesfull (it's on top spot of Amazon Japan sales ranking) and the first printing is already sold out. Vocaloid is a technology and application software developed by Yamaha that enables users to synthesize authentic-sounding singing by just typing in the melody and the lyrics of a song. Yamaha announced its development in 2003, and in 2004 the first application software product was launched. It was not released as a Yamaha product, but a software package of Vocaloid Singer Libraries developed by third party licensees (Zero-G and Crypton) which included Yamaha's Vocaloid software. Vocaloid 2 singer, just released by Crypton, features the voice of Atsune Miku: a 16 years old virtual Singer (according to her official bio she is 158 cm tall, weights 42 Kg and loves pop and dance music).

In the last two weeks Atsune Miku stormed the japanese otaku and video gamers undeground and many users poster their own music created with Vocaloid 2 on Nico Nico (japanese equivalent of You Tube). It's really impressive how powerfull can be a 100$ software! Finally anime and videogame fans can have their personal seiyu in their room!

ANIME: Doujin Work 1 e 2

Su segnalazione di Massimo ecco la prima puntata dell'anime Doujin Work tratto dall'omonimo manga (fansabbato in inglese).
Si tratta di una serie imperdibile per tutti gli appassionati di doujinshi!
Se siete dei veri otaku qui c'è anche il secondo episodio.
Haruhi su PS2

MOE Scoop!!!
La Haruhi mania contagia anche le console Sony e, dopo l'annuncio della versione PSP, sulla rivista Famitsu sono apparse anche le prime immagini della versione PS2 che verrà intitolata Suzumiya Haruhi no tomado e sarà disponibile a gennaio 2008. Nel gioco si impersona Kyon che tenterà di realizzare un videogioco insieme agli altri membri dell' SOS dan e il gioco creato sarà realmente giocabile!!
Chi non riesce a resistere, può tranquillamente acquistare uno dei tanti videogiochi doujin ispirati a questa incredibile serie animata.

SUMMER OF ANIME

Finalmente è estate e sta per iniziare la stagione estiva degli anime. Ovviamente per chi non vive in Giappone ci sono sempre i fansub e i raw... Ci sono serie per tutti i gusti... giusto per avere un motivo in più per trascorrere l'estate barricati in casa invece di far finta di avere una vita vera...
